The reggae-dancehall musician and music producer said he enjoyed the interview on Thursday and expressed his gratitude to The Sunday Gleaner on Facebook.
The award-winning artist told The Sunday Gleaner in an interview that people mistake him for a Jamaican. Shatta Wale jokingly said, “Lot of times when I am going through airports people ask me if I am Jamaican, and I tell them no, I’m Nigerian,”
He said in the interview that one of the greatest miracles in his career was a collaboration with Beyoncé on The Lion King: the Gift album.
Shatta Wales is one of the most successful artistes in Ghana and Africa. His famous song, ‘Dancehall King’, won him the Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards in 2014.
