ACCRA, Ghana – Sunday, June 21, 2020/ https://africanpostonline.com/—Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda in collaboration with Kiira Motors Corporation have built three medical ventilators called Bulamu in the fight against covid-19.
The ventilators named Bulamu, which mean life is to enable COVID-19 patients in Intensive Care Units to breathe.
Covid-19 has compelled many Africans to speed up up the building of ventilators to meet the demands at the various isolation centres to aid covid-19 patients who may need it for survival.
Makerere University, Kampala is Uganda’s largest and oldest institution of higher learning. , first established as a technical school in 1922. It became an independent national university in 1970.
Makerere University is one of the most prestigious Universities in Africa. A world-class institution for academic excellence, research and innovations.
