Accra, Ghana- Wednesday, July 8, 2020,/ https://africanpostonline.com/ The Ministry of Finance has released a memo dated 7th July 2020 indicating that they are taking coronavirus pre-emptive measures by testing all staff of covid-19 and therefore temporarily closed.
The Ministry noted that staff would work from home, and because of the mid-year review of the budget, a team of staff will work at an approved location to enable completion.
The letter did not indicate whether or not anyone has tested positive. However, contact tracing will be undertaken by the authorities in charge and staff who test positive will be duly informed.
The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has also temporarily closed down its Accra offices as staff test positive for Covid-19.
Ghana has recorded 21,968 confirmed covid-19 cases 17,156 recoveries and 129 deaths.
