GHANA- Monday, July 13, 2020,/ https://africanpostonline.com/ President Akuffo-Addo has held a virtual meeting with his 2020 Campaign Communication Advisory Team. The meeting took place on Sunday, July 12, 2020 via zoom.
During the virtual meeting, President Akuffo-Addo urged the team to emphasize the need for COVID-19 protocols to be complied with
According to him, compliance the protocols would assess the performance level of the country’s fight against COVID 19.
He further admonished the team to remind Ghanaians of the state of the country before they inherited power from the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“We need to set before the Ghanaian people clearly the situation we inherited on the 7th of January 2017. It is critical because, without that reference, it is difficult to measure the quality of the achievement. You have the records; dumsor, high rate of inflation, low rates of growth, widespread unemployment, a certain level of demoralization and within three years, this very bleak economic narrative has been transformed.”
The meeting was recorded live in a Facebook stream and it showed the President looking well and healthy.
This development comes barely after a week President Akuffo-Addo went into self-isolation after close contact with a member of his cabinet tested positive for COVID-19.
