GHANA- Saturday, July 18, 2020,/ https://africanpostonline.com/ After weeks of final years returning to school and challenges accompanying it, a final year student Samoo SHS in Cape Coast has been arrested for allegedly murdering his girlfriend.
The 25-year-old student who has only been identified as Enoch would be in police custody for the next two weeks after he appeared before the court today Friday, July 17 2020.
The incident occurred at Ekon, a suburb of Cape Coast.
The victim has been identified as Agnes Amoah, a 23-year-old hairdresser.
It is alleged that suspected murderer visited the victim on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, and spent the night with her, amidst disapprovals from her mother.
The mother is said to have left them alone when her calls fell on deaf ears.
The victim was found dead the next day lying in her pool of blood.
Investigations made by the Kotokuraba Police lead to the arrest and prosecution of Enoch, the final year student.
The remain of the victim is at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital mortuary.
Final year students returned to school on 23 June 2020 to complete their exit exams. By order of the president, they are not allowed to have contact with persons outside the school.
It has seen many challenges as two students have lost their lives due to the Presidents directive meant to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Richard Sam of Gwiraman Senior High School and Sam Leonard of KNUST Senior High School.
