Dr Kofi Amoah Urges Messi to Play in Africa

Dr Kofi Amoah, an astute Ghanaian Businessman has urged the superstar, Lionel Messi to consider the idea of coming to continue his playing career in Africa, a message he sent to Messi on Twitter.

In the wake of Messi’s request to move away from the one team he has made his home for the past 20 years, Dr Amoah feels that moving to Africa to play football will be a good move for the Argentine.

According to Dr Amoah, Messi’s arrival to the continent will do his reputation a world of good as he believes that many of Messi’s fans can be found in this part of the world. He stated in his tweet that Messi is a ‘gifted icon’ to the world and Africa. He urges Messi to consider making Africa the home for the change in his career pace.

The tweet reads, “Dear Mr Messi, I am reaching out to you via @fundacionmessi. You are a gifted icon to the World and we in Africa applaud and love you. Please consider Africa as your next football home. Much good will be done with appreciable significance to you forever. @fundacionmessi @FIFAcom @ghanafaofficial”.

If there is the slightest of this move happening, this will not only draw attention to the professional football going on in Africa but it will also generate interest in it as well. It will be a source of motivation for players in professional football and Africa, push them to play football that can be compared to European football.

But so far, it looks like England has the better chance of acquiring the world-class player as a result of the relationship between Man City’s Pep Guardiola and Messi. They both go way back when Guardiola was in charge of the team and so it will be a surprise if Messi signs for Man City for a reunion with his former Coach.
