Public Accounts Committee to Commence Sitting from September 1

The Public Accounts Committee of Parliament will from Tuesday, 1st September 2020 hold its public sitting to examine the Report of the Auditor-General of Ghana, Public Boards, Corporations and the other Statutory Institutions for referred to the committee for consideration.

In a statement released and signed by the Director of public Affairs, Kate Addo, a total of 47 agencies which fall under 13 ministries are to appear before the committee to be examined.

Some of these governmental agencies include; the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), Bank of Ghana, Ghana Cocoa Board, Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFUND), Ghana Free Zones Board, Forestry Research Institute (CSIR), Ghana AIDS Commission, Lands Commission, Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority.

The Public Accounts Committee sitting comes as the house is on recess after debating the controversial Agyapa Royalities Limited agreement and would be back in October before the budget reading in November,2020.

The Committee is expected to end its sitting on Friday, 12th September, 2020.
