The Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Dr, Mahamud Bawumia will begin a three-day tour of the Northern Region from tomorrow beginning Thursday, September 3 and end on Saturday, September 5th, 2020.
In a circular signed by the Northern regional party Secretary, the Vice President upon his arrival at the Tamale Airport will first visit Yendi to pay a courtesy call on His Royal Majesty, the Yaa Naa Abukari Mahama at the Gbewaa Palace.
From there, he will make a stop at Mion where he will pay a courtesy call on the Mion Lana Abdulai Mahamadu at his Palace in Sambu and later the same day, H.E. Mahamud Bawumia will also pay a courtesy call on the Yoo Naa Abdulai Yakubu Andani at his Palace in Savelugu.
On the second day of his tour, the Vice President will honour durbars of chiefs and people in the Tatale, Zabzugu and Saboba Traditional Areas.
On the last day of his tour, Dr Bawumia will honour a durbar of the chiefs and people at Chereponi in the North East Region as well as two other durbars with chiefs and people of Gushegu and Karaga traditional areas respectively which will be held in his honour.
The Vice President will climax his tour with an interaction with the people of the Northern Region on the radio.
