Management of the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) says there will be an interruption in water supply to residents in the eastern part of Greater Accra Region starting Monday 14th to Saturday 20th September 2020.

In a circular, the nation’s water supply company explained that the interruption was as result of engineering works which will take place along the pipeline from Kpong to Tema stretch. According to GWCL, volumes of water is lost on daily basis as a result of a weak session in the main transmission pipeline.

“Engineers will be replacing close to 2 kilometers of a weak session of the main 42-inch diameter transmission pipe-line from Kpong to Tema, which is causing GWCL to loose several volumes of water on a daily basis and consequently having a serious impact on the volumes available for consumption” the statement said.
