BREAKING: Lagos Govt Set To Discharge Six Coronavirus Patients

The Lagos State Government has announced plans to discharge six of the coronavirus patients admitted at the Infectious Disease Hospital in Yaba.

In a tweet on Thursday, Dr. Tunde Ajayi, the Special Assistant on Health to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said that the patients have recovered and would be discharged soon.

He wrote: “Six of our #COVID19 inpatients have recovered and will be discharged soon. There is something Lagos is doing right. Lagos takes the lead.”

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that 51 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in the country as of Wednesday night, March 25.

“Out of the 51 confirmed cases, two have been discharged, while one death has been recorded. Lagos has 32 confirmed cases,” the NCDC wrote on its website.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, also revealed at a briefing on Wednesday that the state was tracing over 2,000 contacts.
