Ghana has reported two new Coronavirus cases (COVID-19) increasing the total number of confirmed cases to 11. The two additional case-patients are in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
One of the patients is a 59-year-old Ghanaian woman resident in the United Kingdom who recently returned to Ghana and currently living in Kumasi and the other a Lebanese resident in Kumasi.
Earlier today 19 March 2020, the total number of Coronavirus cases (COVID-19) confirmed by the Ghana Health Service was 9 in total.
At 15:00GMT, the two new confirmed cases in Kumasi increased the total Coronavirus cases (COVID-19) to 11 in Ghana.
Ghana has not recorded any coronavirus related death and all the eleven (11) confirmed COVID-19 cases are being managed in isolation and are responding well to treatment.
The government has since been embarking on contact tracing to identify those exposed to avoid the spread of the virus.
