COVID-19: British PM Boris Johnson admitted to a hospital in London

PM Boris johnson who tested positive for COVID-19 has been admitted to a hospital in London.

According to Downing Street spokesman, his coronavirus symptoms persist 10 days after testing positive for the virus and he is having a temperature.

He has been taken to the hospital for a test as a precautionary step.

His admission is in adherence to the doctor’s advice according to a statement by the Downing Street spokeswoman. He stated, “On the advice of his doctor, the prime minister has tonight been admitted to hospital for tests.”

The Prime Minister has been in self-isolation since the first coronavirus test came positive and has also been working from home.

He has pleaded with people to stay at home to prevent the spread of coronavirus, which has infected 47,806 people in the UK with 4,934 dying of the virus.

Globally, there has been 1,136,851 confirmed coronavirus cases, 62,955
confirmed deaths and 209 countries hit according to updates by the World Health Organization (WHO) on 5th April 2020 at 18:32 GMT.
