COVID-19 has compelled the government to do what they have over the years neglected. Some parts of Accra have been labelled as unclean and unhygienic.
The masses have pleaded with the government and the various institutions authorised to ensure the cleanliness of some parts of the country to no avail.
To avoid the spread of COVID-19 in Ghana, the AMA together with The Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources and the Environmental Service Providers Association (ESPA) have been cleaning up some parts of the cities in Ghana.
The police force has also joined in the clean-up exercise in the metropolis with the Inspector-General of Police, Mr James Oppong-Boanuh visiting to boost the morale of his Police officers and personnel.
The citizens must take sanitation seriously and maintain a clean city. Everyone must be a responsible citizen and ensure that they do not litter the city.
The authorities must also establish measures to enforce and implement the cleanliness of the city.
The cleanup exercise is also being carried out in the Kumasi metropolis.
