ACCRA, Ghana – Monday, June 1, 2020,/ https://africanpostonline.com/—Ghana starts easing COVID19 restrictions, an announcement made by President Nana Addo on Sunday 31st May. However, Ghana’s borders by land, air and sea which has been closed on 21st March 2020 will remain shut until further notice.
In light of this, President Nana Addo clarifies that Ghanaians stranded abroad due to the closure of Ghana’s borders will be evacuated. He, however, noted that they will be mandatorily quarantined.
The President’s 10th address to the Nation announces the reopening of schools for final year students with a limited number of students in a class. Churches, mosques and other religious institutions also reopen with a limited number of 100 people.
However, strict measures will be in place to prevent the spread of covid-19. This measures will be strictly enforced and monitored by the Government. People must practice the protocols of social distancing, wearing a face mask, disinfecting and fumigating premises.
