Dybala Stays, Higuain Leaves says Juventus Boss

Andrea Pirlo, the new manager of Juventus, has announced the club is set to extend Dybala’s stay with the club whilst the striker, Gonzalo Higuain will leave the club this summer.

Pirlo was appointed as Coach for the Italian Champions hours after the board sacked Maurizio Sarri after their elimination in the Champions League by Lyon, this month.

Initially, he was appointed as the manager for U-23 side of Juventus. After his appointment, he stated that the result of the team with him in charge will determine whether he was the man to replace Sarri.

“I want to bring back the enthusiasm, with proactive football and domination of the play. I said to the lads, you must always have the ball and when you lose it, you must get it back quickly”, he added.

In his first press conference as manager of the Italian side, he laid bare his transfer plans ahead of the upcoming season. “We’ve decided together with Gonzalo Higuain that he’ll leave the club this summer”, he stated, “He’s out of the project and we’re ready to let him go”. “Dybala is an important player and he will be part of the project”.

The 26-year-old has managed joined Juventus in 2015 and has made a total appearance of 162 and has scored 68 goals for the side. He is a very quick and creative player on the field with exceptional dribbling skills. He has the ability to beat opponents one on one and has such control over the ball that he can weave the ball through very close and tight areas with very limited spaces. He is capable of creating chances for his team to score and if he gets the ball, he can net it beautifully.  He is a strong and accurate passer on the ball and excels in counter-attacks due to speed. He is a very flexible player and is able to play in any offensive position.
