According to the health ministry of Egypt, a 60-year-old German citizen died from the coronavirus making it the first death.

The German citizen died from the disease on Sunday 8th March 2020.

It was reported that he showed symptoms of a high fever upon arrival from Luxor to Hurghada, according to Dr. Khaled Mujahid, an adviser to Egypt’s Minister of Health.

Coronavirus was identified by Chinese authorities on January 7, 2020, in Wuhan, China. According to the World Health Organization, the total number of cases of coronavirus globally is about 100,000. it is reported that about 3,400 have died across the world.
