President of the National Association of Graduate Teachers, Angel Carbonu has reacted positively to the plan of the New Patriotic Party to make available free WIFI to students.

Speaking the launch of the party’s manifesto on Saturday, August 22, 2020 vice president of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawunia announced the party’s intention to provide senior high schools and public tertiary institutions with free WiFi if retained in office in 2020.
Dr. Bawumia said that the NPP will “complete the provision of free Wifi at all senior secondary schools and public tertiary institutions and training colleges”.

Reacting to the promise, Angel Carbonu said that the policy, if implemented will improve the teaching and learning process.
“This promise means that the huge challenge is going to be taken away from us; that is the cost of acquiring and purchasing data. It is a very useful thing if it is done. It will help us and help teach and learning. We all know that in this COVID-19 era if we have had a very strong infrastructural base in IT, we wouldn’t have had problems,” he said.
The New Patriotic Party will also improve upon the digital literacy of teachers.
