ACCRA, Ghana – Sunday, June 21, 2020/ https://africanpostonline.com/—Ghanaians are questioning the exponentially increased in covid-19 recoveries.
The Ghana Health Service reported 5,526 recoveries from covid-19, consequently increasing recovery cases to a total of 10,074.
The recovery rate to many is unbelievable as they doubt if it is the actual figure. On 19th June, recoveries recorded was 4,548, and on the 20th June, recoveries exploded to 5,526 making a total of 10,074.
Many Ghanaians believe that the government is massaging the numbers for political points. However, others believe it is possible and credit the frontline health workers and the government.
Some believe that some people were awaiting a second recovery test which is the reason for a large number of recoveries recorded. The World Health Organization (WHO) has given a new scientific guideline on June 17 by clarifying that a single test that proves negative is enough to establish recovery and discharge of patients without a second test.
The confirmed cases reported stands at 13,717 and 85 deaths.
Active cases now at 3554.
