Ghana’s COVID-19 cases have increased to 195. The Minister of Health said in a press briefing today 1 April 2020. According to the Minister, Ghana has recorded 34 new cases on Tuesday 31st March. There are 138 active cases at the moment. 38 patients have fully recovered and discharged.
A total of 174 of the cases have been recorded in the Greater Accra Region. 10 cases in the Tamale, Northern Region and the 10 are responding well to treatment. The 10 are Guineans who traveled from their country through Burkina Faso and Togo into Ghana but were traced and mandatorily quarantine upon a tip-off.
Nine cases have been identified in the Ashanti Region and one in the Upper West and another one case in the Eastern Region.
5 COVID-19 deaths have been recorded in the country since the first two reported cases.
Parts of the country; Accra, Tema, Kumasi, Kasoa are under lockdown for 14 days from 30th March 2020.
