Ghanaian hip hop musician Samuel Adu Frimpong, well known as Medikal has revealed that he is no longer going to entertain anyone who wants to beef him if they don’t pay him for the beef. ” I will only respond to beefs if there is payment.”
Sometime back, Medikal said that he is the saviour of Ghana rap, adding that his presence on the scene has salvaged the dying genre and made it viable.
He said his response to beefs and attacks was simply for the fan but it’s all in the past now. And he will be charging any artiste who wants him to respond to his/ her beef and make it a trend for hype.
In an interview with MzGee on TV3, the AMG signee said that he has stopped saving the dying career of some musicians who intentionally start musical beefs in order to ride on his popularity and fame to trend and revive their dead career.
”No the thing bi say if you want make Medikal do something wey I go help you, like help your brand or something, you can see my management we can sit and talk about it, but for you to get a free hype of insulting me in a song or on twitter, man no go mind you because at the end of the day whatever you write or say doesn’t put food on my table, you get me, so I choose not to pay mind to whatever people say about in my music [sic]”, he added.
He explaind that anyone who wants to beef him should make sure he has money because it is going to on business grounds, adding that his charges are very high and suffocating.
“it depends on the artiste because it is not any artiste who has the means, because i dey charge like my phone dey low battery, I dey charge crazy, so at the end of the day if you be artiste wey you get money wey you feel like say maybe you need some resurrection in your something something career then we can work something out but obviously you need to get money too, so if you don’t have money don’t come at all and then don’t do that lame thing talking about Medikal in your music or on twitter to spark some beef, I’m off that “, he added.
