Accra, Ghana- Tuesday, July 7, 2020/ https://africanpostonline.com/ Jair Bolsonaro, President of Brazil test positive for COVID-19. President Bolsonaro disclosed during an interview to TV Brasil and CNN Brasil today July 7.
“The result of the COVID-19 test run for President Bolsonaro on Monday night, [July] 6, and made available this morning, the seventh, displayed a positive diagnosis. The President has a good health condition and is at this moment at the Alvorada presidential residence,” a press statement issued from the office of the President.
President Jair Bolsonaro, 65, was earlier criticized for claiming COVID-19 was a “fantasy”. He also said he wouldn’t feel a thing if he was to contract the virus.
Bolsonaro said he feels fine, “I’m fine,”, “I’m very well”, but has called off all his engagements in Bahia and Minas Gerais.
Bolsonaro is the third world leader to contract covid-19 after British Prime Minister Boris Johnson who recovered and Burundian President, Pierre Nkurunziza who unfortunately passed.
President of Ghana, Nana Akufo- Addo is the latest President to quarantine and self isolate after disclosing that a close associate has tested positive for the coronavirus.
