ACCRA, Ghana, May 13, 2020/ https://africanpostonline.com/–- Many Ghanaians are calling 2020 a ‘beefing year’ for celebrities because most celebrities are publicly disgracing each other with insults.
Medikal, when dragged into the drama between Eno Barony and sister Efia, stated that beefing is the reason Ghana music is not moving forward.
He pointed out that most artists think it’s all about competition and clout. He also stated that Ghanaians will hail diss songs yet dance on songs of the one being dragged into the gutter.
However, Medical in an indirect reply to Eno Barony stated that he will not waste his time recording a diss track to a female rapper, especially when the person looks like a corpse.
Many Ghanaians believe that most celebrities lose their respect and dignity with beefing as they insult each other publicly and use defamatory words.
African Post Online interacted with some music fans and their response about most Ghanaian celebrities was unexpected.
Kweku (full name withheld) thinks that Ghana does not have celebrities or have a few. Also, Appiah who works with a reputable advertising company in Ghana thinks beefing is the reason most companies don’t endorse celebrities for their brands.
As we battle COVID-19, one would have expected celebrities to unite and make a tremendous impact instead of ‘beefing‘ and dragging each other into the gutter.
