Namibia confirms two cases of coronavirus and has immediately taken drastic measures

The Republic of Namibia has confirmed two cases of the coronavirus according to a statement released by the H.E. President Hage G. Geingob of Namibia.

According to the President, The World Health Organization has declared COVID19 a global pandemic, therefore, Namibia has to take steps to deal with this pandemic. 

Drastic measures taken by the President include the cancelation of the Independence Celebrations at the Independence Stadium but rather the swearing-in-ceremony to take place at State House, resources for the Independence Celebrations diverted to the fight the Coronavirus, the suspension of inbound and outbound travel to and from Qatar, Ethiopia, and Germany with immediate effect for a period of 30 days, all big gatherings are suspended for a period of 30 days, the lockdown of Windhoek Gymnasium with immediate effect for a period of two weeks and the suspension of all travels by Namibian government officials, including State-Owned Enterprises.
