Sugar Apple also called “Sweetsop”, is a tropical fruit of the Annona ceca family. It is small, knobby with soft creamy white flesh and often having a minty or custardy flavour. It is conically shaped, smaller in size without soft spikes and a relative of the soursop (guyabano).

Sugar apple is sweet with a flavour like a mix between a coconut and a pear with black seeds.

Sugar apple is rich in antioxidant like vitamin C, which helps get rid of free radicals from the body. Sugar apple also contains calcium, magnesium, iron, niacin and potassium.
