The Brazilian Superstar, Neymar has made an unfortunate typing error on Twitter following the defeat of his team, Paris Saint-Germain’s (PSG) painful 1-0 defeat in the UEFA Champions League Finals, last night.
PSG, last night, failed to add the Champions League trophy to their titles of this season’s campaign after Bayern Munich pulled a slim victory from under them in Estadio da Luz. Thomas Tuchel’s men created very clear chances in a very tense first half of the finals but were unable to convert them to goals. Parts of this is attributed to Neuer’s brilliant saves; he kept the threats from Neymar and Mbappe at bay throughout the entire game.
Bayern Munich took charge of the game, maintaining possession of the ball throughout the game. And they eventually found the back of the net in the 59th minute. With a string of beautiful passes, Kimmich was able to weave a cross through the stubborn and tightly-knitted defence of PSG. The cross found Coman on the far left of the field and he nodded home beautifully. Manager Flick’s side held on to tightly to their one-goal lead through the second half of the game. Playing a balanced game, they attacked when they had a chance and defended when PSG pressed them.
The final whistle confirmed that the Bayerns had completed the treble they had been fighting for. Neymar was overcome by emotions. He broke down in tears as their loss sunk in amidst the comforting of his teammates and Bayern players. After he was able to compose himself, he had the courage to congratulate the winning team on Twitter. But he was left embarrassed after he realized that he had failed to type the final letter in ‘Bayern’.
As a result, he ended up congratulating Bayer Leverkusen. The tweet reads: “Losing is part of the sport, we try everything, we fight until the end. Thank you for the support and affection of each one of you and CONGRATULATIONS to BAYER”.
Bayer Leverkusen issued a quick reply from their official page saying: “Obrigado @neymarjr. I’m not sure why you congratulate me if I’m on vacation playing FIFA, but thanks”.
