Actor turned politician, John Dumelo had pledged to distribute over 4000 laptops to students in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.
In a post sighted by African Posy, the parliamentary candidate on the ticket of the minority National Democratic Congress (NDC) revealed that “the John Dumelo Foundation and I will distribute over 4000 laptops to students in the Constituency”.
He said the project was aimed at improving upon the quality of education for the students.
“I believe in quality education. I am convinced that this gesture will improve access to online learning for tertiary students”, he expounded.
The politician recently dewormed over 100 children in the Mempasem area.
Many have lauded John for some projects he has undergone since he announced his intentions to contest for the seat.
Under the John Dumelo Foundation, the veteran actor has undergone projects like “Ayawaso West Widows Associations” he embarked on Valentine’s day this year.
He will be going against the parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and sitting Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, Madam Lydia Alhassan.
There have been conversations that electing a parliamentary member for the constituency will be tough as both candidates are more than qualified.
