Sulley Muntari has expressed his love for Asante Kotoko, halting the pursuit of the player by Kotoko’s archrivals, Accra Hearts Oak.

The former AC Milan midfielder has been unattached since his deal ended with Albacete, a Spanish Division 2 team, last year. He joined the club on January 31, 2019 after six months of inactivity until the season ended. Muntari appeared twice for the club without scoring goals.

For a while now the Ghana international player has been linked with the Accra Hearts of Oak, training alongside the players of the team.

It was reported that Muntari was considering the possibility of joining the Phobians or moving to a club in South Africa.

In his live chat on Instagram with his fans, he said, “I love Kotoko. They tried signing me when I was a young player in Kumasi”. The 35-year-old player said, “I would love to retire with them, but I would not rule out Hearts, Real Tamale United, King Faisal or Liberty Professionals”.
