In 1913, former slave, born into slavery, abolitionist and Underground Railroad “conductor” Harriet Tubman died in Auburn, New York; she was in her 90s.

Harriet Tubman was a brave freedom fighter associated with “Underground Railroad”. She escaped and rescued over 70 enslaved people, including family and friends, using the network of antislavery activists and safe houses known as the Underground Railroad.

The Old Dixie Highway in Florida is Renamed after her.
