Actress and film producer, Tracey Boakye has been suspended by the Film Producers’ Association of Ghana (FIPAG).
Her suspension follows her brawl with musician Mzbel over an unknown suger daddy.
According to a statement released by FIPAG, Tracey’s exchange with MzBel was full of vulgar and unprintable language, noting the content of her videos were bad and constitute an affront to the Ghanaian Culture and Traditions.
FIPAG president made it clear in his statement that, “ In view of this, FIPAG has immediately suspended miss Tracey Boakye indefinitely. She is not supposed to take part in any of the activities during this period until the situation is reviewed.” The statement signed by James Aboagye, “FIPAG wishes to render an unqualified apology to the general public and the man involved for her behaviour as that display of character does not represent what the film industry stands for or wishes to propagate. We wish that Ghanaians will find a space in their heart to forgive her”. FIPAG apologized.
Reacting to the news of her suspension, Tracy Boakye said the association has no power to suspend her and she has never been part of the Film Producers Association of Ghana, hence can’t understand how she can be suspended.
“It’s been past 8 years since I started movie production and you’ve never promoted me on any of your platforms. I’m not a part of you and everybody knows I am an independent movie producer. Do you people even know me or you want to use this opportunity to trend? You boldly told me I am not a member and would not be allowed to vote before electing your new leaders so how do you come in here? I am even surprised you could even issue this statement,” she said.
This comes after the actress was suspended by the association for her unpleasant words during her issue with MzBel over an unknown man.
