SOUTH AFRICA- Monday, July 13, 2020,/ https://africanpostonline.com/ Zindzi Mandela, the youngest daughter of Winnie Madikizela-Mandela and former president Nelson Mandela has died on Monday in a Johannesburg hospital after a short illness according to her family according to local news.
The family of Zindzi is to issue a statement concerning her death midday on Monday. The cause of her death is yet to be announced to the public.
Zindzi Mandela, born on 23 December 1960 in Soweto was South Africa’s ambassador to Denmark, founder of Mandela Legacy, a political and social activist as well the author of Black As I Am.
South Africans are devastating by the news of her death as they remember her as fearless and result oriented. She is said to have played a pivotal role in supporting her parents fight against apartheid by delivering an iconic speech on behalf of her father when her mother Winnie Mandela was banned from addressing rallies.
She was married twice and left behind four children.
