Zongo communities to benefit from 16 senior high schools- NPP

The leadership of the ruling National Patriotic Party saying that it will construct 16 Senior High Schools for Zongo communities.

Speaking at the launch of the party’s manifesto in the Central Region on Saturday, August 22, 2020, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawunia highlighted the development will be seen in Zongo communities in all 16 regions across the country if the NPP was maintained in 2020.

He stated also that the project will be in collaboration with The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund).
“Through the Zongo Development Fund, in collaboration with GETFUND, build 16 model Senior High Schools in Zongo communities across the 16 regions of the country”, he said.

The Ministry of Inner-City and Zongo Development (MICZD) Ghana was established by H.E. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in 2017 to “ensure that Inner-cities and Zongo communities do not become areas of despair, difficulty and social conflict.

Further in his address, Dr. Bawumia added that students with special needs will be taken care of as the administration will provide the needed infrastructure for them if they are voted into power in 2020.
