University of Ghana and KNUST ranks amongst top 30 universities in Africa 2020

ACCRA, Ghana – Monday, June 1, 2020/ https://africanpostonline.com/— The University of Ghana and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) ranks among the best 30 universities in Africa according to the latest 2020-2021 ranking by the Centre of World University Ranking (CWUR).

The University of Ghana ranked as the 20th best university in Africa and 1346 in the world whiles KNUST took the 23 positions and 1460 in the world.

Five South African Universities took the first to fifth positions with the University of Cape Town (UCT) in South Africa ranking as the best African University and 268th globally. 

The University of Cape Town, established in 1829 is the oldest university in South Africa and the second oldest in Africa.

The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) publishes the only global university ranking that measures the quality of education and training of students as well as the prestige of the faculty members and the quality of their research without relying on surveys and university data submissions.

The robust key indicators to rank the world’s universities include the quality of Education, alumni employment, quality of faculty, and research performance.
