Artistes commend Shatta Wale over “Already” video collaboration with Beyoncé

Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale seems to be the hottest personality in the country now as his video with American singer Beyoncé premieres yesterday.

The video which already has million views videos on YouTube barely 15 hours after its release has put the artiste and Ghanaian music on the map.

Scenes of the video were shot in parts of Ghana, confirming Beyoncé’s claim of her arrival in Ghana. The song was featured in her “The Lionking: The Gift” album.

The release also has several congratulatory messages flooding the dancehall artiste.

Former rival, Stonebwoy of Burniton music has joined the list of artistes to send such messages to Shatta Wale.

Taking to his Twitter page, he congratulated the artiste and called him “blood”, referring to him as a brother.

“Congratulations @shattawalegh Big Video! Proud Of You #Already My Blood. #Ghana2DWorld”, Stonebwoy tweeted with a picture of Beyoncé and Shatta Wale.

Rapper Sarkodie has also added his voice to the rave the video has been getting with its release.

He took to his Twitter page and captioned a picture of Shatta Wale and Beyoncé with several Ghana flags and burning fire emojis with the inscription “BIG MOMENT”.

 CEO of Black Avenue Muzik, Desmond Blackmore, known as D-Black seems to have known about the video beforehand as he confesses in his congratulatory tweet.

 “Twas more than hard to Keep this shyt to myself since u told me lastyear! This year the world has seen too. Continue to be great my g @shattawalenima!! Africa to the top !!! Africa to the top!!”, his tweet said.

Musician Medikal seems to idolize the moments as he asks “make somebody frame this picture give me, I wan put for my studio” he tweeted.

The video has received a lot of supports from fans and even people who do not belong to the Shatta Movement camp.

As controversial as Shatta Wale seems it is undeniable that he has pushed Ghanaian music further on the international market.

It seems he is not stopping anytime soon as he hints of a collaboration with American artiste and husband of Beyoncé, Jay Z.
