GHANA- Friday, August 7, 2020/–The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has moved Bright Senior High School as an examination centre to Ofori Pain Senior High School.

In a press statement that was released today, WAEC said it “strongly condemns the behavior of the proprietor and candidates of Bright SHS as reported and wishes to caution that such unruly behaviour contravenes Section 8 (1) of the WAEC Act, 2006 (Act 719) which frowns on and sanctions acts of assault on examination officials”.

The students of the private SHS located in Kukurantumi on Thursday attacked WAEC invigilators over what they termed “strict invigilation”. A journalist was also attacked in the process.
