ACCRA, Ghana – Saturday, May 16, 2020,/ https://africanpostonline.com/ — Ghana has seen an increase in the COVID-19 cases, recoveries and deaths.
COVID-19 cases now at 5, 638. Recoveries also increased drastically to 1,460 and four more patients, unfortunately, lost their lives to the virus, making a total of 28 deaths.
The increasing number of cases in the country is putting many Ghanaians in fear.
The Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu has called on Ghanaians to be an ambassador in stopping the spread of the virus as he foretold dire consequences of an increasing number of cases.
“If we begin to get ill, our hospitals would be full,” he cautioned adding, “if we allow ourselves to be moving towards that era [mass hospitalisation] our situation would become catastrophic.” He asserted at a press conference on Thursday.
