Testing
Ghana has tested over 50,700 suspected COVID-19 samples according to the Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah at a media briefing in Accra on April 16.
Kojo Oppong Nkrumah is using three types of testing mechanism, namely routine surveillance testing, mandatory quarantine testing and enhanced testing.
Cases
Ghana has recorded 641 confirmed cases of coronavirus as at April, 14.
He said 105 tested positive at the Accra Airport out of 2,011 testings.
10 test positive out of 11 test run at the Tamale Airport.
Out of the routine surveillance testing, 13,838 people were tested with 268 testings positive.
Of 34,859 tested through the enhanced contact tracing, 258 tested positive
Recoveries
Ghana has recorded 83 recovering as 17 more await confirmation.
Deaths
The number of recorded deaths remains at 8.
