GHANA- Tuesday, July 14, 2020,/ https://africanpostonline.com/ John Dumelo, Parliamentary aspirant for the Ayawaso West constituency has admonished Madam Lydia Alhassan, member of parliamentary for the Ayawaso West constituency to maintain peace in the constituency as it is her duty.
In a press release signed by his spokesperson, Benjamin Madugu Avornyotse, he emphasizes that the sitting MP, Madam Lydia Alhassan is taking advantage of the ongoing violence in the constituency to support her campaign.
“Her campaign that is bound to fail must not be seen to tacitly approve and profit from the violence being perpetrated on the innocent constituents of Ayawaso West Wuogon in the ongoing registration exercise”, the statement contained.
The release further stated that should Madam Lydia “continue to remain indifferent to the concerns raised”, the campaign team would resort to the law to “ensure the protection of all constituents from acts of thuggery and hooliganism”.
His comments were made on the back of recent violence and assaults that have characterized the new voter registration in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.
