ACCRA, Ghana – Wednesday, May 13, 2020,/ https://africanpostonline.com/— It is important to know the COVID-19 hotspots in Ghana and take caution. Ghana has recorded 5,127 COVID-19 cases, 494 recoveries and 22 deaths.
The COVID-19 hotspots in the country are to inform the general public in order to control the spread of the coronavirus.
Four main regions in Ghana have been identified as the COVID-19 hotspot in the country. They are the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Central and the Volta region.
Greater Accra
According to the Director-General of the GHS, Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, Greater Accra has four main districts with a majority of cases in Accra, Tema metropolises, the Klottey Korle and the Kpong Katamanso municipalities.
26 other districts which have recorded cases include Ablekuma, Okaikwei South, Okaikwei North, Ashiaman and Adenta, as well as Ga Central.
Ashanti
Obuasi is the hottest spot in the Ashanti Region. Oforikrom municipality, Nkawie, Old Tafo, Asokwa and Suame are other parts of the Kumasi metropolis with recorded cases.
Central Region
Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirem (KEEA), Cape Coast and Ajumako are the hotspots.
