Controversial artist, Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah known in showbiz as Mzbel, has revealed how she was raped but still stayed strong.

“It wasn’t only me but two other ladies of which one was my niece”. She added

In an interview on Kofi Tv, she made it clear that she would have aborted any pregnancy that would have come out of the rape.

“We were taken to the hospital to be checked. We were taken through HIV tests to be sure that we haven’t contracted any sexually transmitted diseases. She added.

Mzbel explained that some Ghanaians showed massive love towards her but it was the media that made it look so bad that she was the one who wanted such thing to happen to her. “Ghanaians showed us massive love and support but the media made me look guilty and dirty”.

“Erata hotel accommodated us and gave us good services for two months. Ama Benewa Doe and few companies donated some things to support us” She expressed gratitude.

She further explained that five minutes after the incident, a pastor’s wife whose house is a second walk from hers was also raped and one of her breasts was cut off.

The singer told Kofi that it was a horrible experience that’s why she never mention it to anyone. And also social media wasn’t very active as it is now. She would have been insulted by most Ghanaians with her experience when her issue with Tracey Boakye came.

“When the case happened, Ghana Police Service didn’t help at all and it was made a foolish case”. She explained.

Mzbel said a month after the incident, they went to the Labadi beach and saw one of the guys who was involved in raping them. She called the police but they told her they have no car to come. “I tried to convince the police but I was told there was no car to use”.
