GHANA- Thursday, August 6, 2020/– Gh-One TV presenter and journalist, Serwaa Amihere was left dumbfounded by the Minister of Information, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nktoday on her GHToday morning show.

Serwaa Amihere is known for her articulate and public speaking skill in English language but this time, she got it all wrong.

She had an interview with Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and in asking her last question to end the program, she got herself stuck in the same question she asked.

A video that captured the moment Serwaa fumbled in answering the question she was asked in return of the answer she was expecting from Hon.Kojo Oppong Nkrumah.

“There is also the perception that the President is not interested in punishing the wrongdoing in the country. And the Ayawaso West Wuogon Violence has been put forward as an example. Why haven’t people who participated in the violence not been punished ” This is the question asked by Serwaa to Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah.

Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah answered the question with a question, “Which recommendation has not been implemented”

She could not answer. Now Twitter is buzzing over how ‘unprofessional’ she is as a journalist.

Many comments on twitter about the interview caused the acting General Manager of GHONE TV, Nana Aba Anamoah to congratulate her and also comment to some tweets.

She explained, ” Do yourselves a favour and watch the full interview conducted by Serwaa Amihere. Discerning people appreciated her questions and Kojo’s responses. Sit on twitter and do-follow. It was a great interview thoroughly enjoyed by clear-eyed folks.

A tweet by Yaw.A.Abban says “it’s not the first time Serwaa Amiher has come before Government office unprepared; as usual, not abreast with facts. She had these ‘hearsay’ questions for the President and she was schooled.”

Serwaa Amihere replied saying ” for the records, the recommendation by the Emile Short Commission on the Ayawaso West Wuogon violence that “Double” should be prosecuted, was accepted by the government at paragraph 6.3(a) of its white paper. Yet to date, no action has been taken in the matter. Fact!”.

A News anchor and Journalist, Edward Kwabena Ameyaw added that ‘ Serwaa asked a vivid question. Quit unfortunate she wasn’t armed with facts. A little reading on the white paper Could have Prevented this. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah got it easy.”
