Style tips to change your dull and one-way office look

ACCRA, Ghana – Thursday, June 11, 2020/ https://africanpostonline.com/—What you wear and how you look is very important. Being stylish in your work outfit can be tricky business. Striking a balance between what’s stylish or trendy for the office and out of the office is especially important.

Wearing the same outfit to work day-in and day-out can get boring; here are a few style tips to keep your office look as interesting as possible.

CLOTHES

Choose clothes that look simple but stylish. Avoid clothes that are too tight-fitting and those that hang lankly on you.

Blazers are an office staple; they’re universally accepted in the workplace and are therefore the perfect piece to play with.

You can opt for a printed piece or a brighter shade. A white blazer is edgier and allows you to go for adventurous shirts like denim and or fun patterns. If it feels too formal you can easily add a relaxed feel to it by just rolling the cuffs up for a chic look.

Whatever you choose to wear to the office; remember that it is all about translating the dress code into your style and taste.

Add some colours to your office outfits and avoid having only black, blue, grey, and brown. You can add colours like a yellow blazer, red and green top depending on how you combine the colours you wear to match.

You can also add a colourful scarf or belt to brighten your look if you are the type that prefers the black, brown and blue look. If you have a strict dress code, you can add a simple necklace, earrings and a statement bag to transform your entire look.

Some people are trying the business casual outfit with a floral skirt, shirt or dress and it looks great. Some people are going for a beautiful African print style, be it a skirt, top or a dress.

You don’t have to stray too far away from your comfort zone to be a fun fashionista. Don’t be afraid to experiment either. Dress stylishly but comfortably, look fresh always and rock a smile to complete your look.

NAILS

Stick to the classics- red and nude. Unless you work in the creative industry in which case you can play around with different wild colours.

Alternate between shades that are acceptable and work for you.

MAKEUP

Picking a lip colour for work should not be difficult. Usually choosing a shade that is the same as your natural lip colour is a sure bet. Natural-looking makeup is preferable. Avoid too much makeup. Highlight the eyes using mascara and eyeliner.

ACCESSORIES

Add a statement necklace to a simple white button-up blouse or coloured shirt and it turns into a style showpiece. No need to over accessorise, one statement piece is enough; it could be a watch, earrings, bangles or necklace.
