Zimbabwe has received another positive endorsement after a leading American publication, named the country among the top 10 honeymoon destinations for 2020.
The hospitality sector’s investments in sustainable tourism and innovative products have not gone unnoticed as one of the leading American women’s magazine “Harper’s Bazaar”
recently named Zimbabwe among the top 10 honeymoon destinations for 2020.
Africa Albida Tourism Operations Director Andy Conn said it is encouraging that despite efforts by some international media organizations to tarnish the image of the destination, Zimbabwe continues to get positive endorsements by objective publications.
“We are obviously happy that we have been listed in another prestigious magazine. We continue to soldier on in a country that has had bad publicity from international networks claiming that Victoria Falls was drying up which was really scandalous. We continue to be an attractive international destination,” he said.
Victoria Falls Safari Club Manager Dionne Mutsonziwa is pleased with the current efforts towards transforming the resort town into a green destination.
“We have beautiful surroundings at this property and we are also close to the national park. It is a great place to relax and we do have great amenities to go with our surroundings. We have over the years seen an increase in honeymooners coming through to this destination,” he said.
Leading global business and financial media group, Bloomberg recently listed Zimbabwe among top 24 destinations to visit in 2020 in yet another endorsement of the country as a safe, attractive and hospitable country.
