Coronavirus in Ghana: Women's Day High-Level Event canceled by the First Lady

The First Lady, H.E. Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo in taking measures to control the spread of the coronavirus has canceled the International Women’s Day High-Level Event scheduled for today 13th March 2020 at Labadi Beach Hotel, Accra.

The Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu in a press conference yesterday confirmed two cases of coronavirus infections in Ghana. The victims returned from Turkey and Norway.

The first lady, however, entreats all Ghanaians to take good care of themselves.

Ghana is the latest African country affected after Nigeria, Senegal, Egypt, and Burkina Faso, Togo, South Africa, Morocco, DR Congo, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Algeria.
