"The People's Manifesto" by the NDC to give equal opportunities to all Ghanaians

Ghana’s biggest opposition party, the National Democratic Congress(NDC), launched its manifesto ahead of the December General Election.

The launch saw some dignitaries like the vice-presidential candidate of the party, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku -Agyeman, the general secretary, Johnson Aseidu Nketiah(General Mosquito), Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, the Second deputy speaker of Parliament, Hon. Alban Bagbin and many others.

The NDC named the manifesto as the ‘People’s Manifesto’. A manifesto is for the people, by the people and with the people.

He explained that the manifesto would give equal opportunities to all Ghanaians to improve their livelihood and standard of living. “The NDC is a social-democratic country which beliefs in an egalitarian society where there is equal opportunity for all Ghanaians. Equal opportunity refers to the right to adequate and affordable health care, decent jobs, quality education, irrespective of gender and creed, liberty to practice one’s religion and to engage in religious activities and the freedom to pursue one’s economic interest.
“The party, therefore, ensure to empower the powerless, free the oppressed, liberate the poor, assimilated to the marginalised and extend dignitaries to the vulnerable members of the Ghanaian populace”, Hon Ampofo added.

The national chairman said that the NDC is ready to take the country forward to raise the living standard of Ghanaians.
He entreated Ghanaians to take time and read through the manifesto. “In this manifesto, we have the ordinary man and woman on the street in mind. You will find the language simple and unambiguous and everyone can relate to them”.

According to him, ” the issues have been presented in thematic areas and table content have been provided. So you can find the issues you are interested in”.

Hon. Ofosu Ampofo urged all Ghanaians to vote for John Mahama and his running mate to make a better Ghana. “Vote for the John and Jane team for a better Ghana for job and prosperity to all”.
