Google’s 2019 Year In Search reveals which city breaks have been the most sought-after of 2019.
And apparently, Venice is the most popular location with Brits.
The Italian city is famed for its canals, bridges, gondolas and Renaissance architecture.
It’s also known for being one of the most romantic cities in the world, which is probably why so many couples have been Googling it.
The second most lusted-after location is Krakow, Poland.
This city is famous for its Old Town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
And in third place – Berlin, Germany proved to be a hit with travel fans.
The capital city boasts plenty of landmarks, from Brandenburg Gate to the Reichstag Building.
Those taking a trip to Berlin can expect a flight time of around 2 hours.
But if you want something even closer to home, Dublin could be of interest.
The Irish capital was the fourth-most searched destination of 2019.
In the Emerald Isles, tourists tend to enjoy touring the Guinness Storehouse or watching live bands on Grafton Street.
Paris, Prague, Madrid, Amsterdam are other locations that made the list.
Alternatively, you could stay in Britain and visit London – which is the eighth most-searched city of 2019.
